The Los Angeles Chargers took absolutely no prisoners with their The Sims-themed 2024 schedule release video that they unveiled on Wednesday, May 15.

While the Chargers’ ruthless shot at controversial Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has gotten most of the attention so far — the Chargers mocked Butker’s beliefs about women by putting his Sims character in the kitchen — the team also snuck in a sly shot at Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers at the end of the video.

Despite the fact that they aren’t even playing the Jets this year, the Chargers took a brutal shot at the league’s pantomime villain nonetheless in the end credits of the video by having him cower in fear of cell phone towers and holding a radioactive baby.

The Chargers certainly had some convenient timing when it came to their Aaron Rodgers gag as the controversial Jets QB just made an appearance on Tucker Carlson’s Twitter show earlier this week, where he discussed things like not watching adult films because “they” could “put something” on his laptop to have him “canceled.” Rodgers also shared theories about the late Pat Tillman from a book that Tillman’s own family has disavowed.

While the video announcing it has gotten most of the attention, the Chargers’ 2024 schedule — in their first season under head coach Jim Harbaugh — is as follows: Raiders, at Panthers, at Steelers, Chiefs, at Broncos, Cardinals, at Saints, Browns, at Titans, at Bengals, at Ravens, Falcons, Chiefs, at Bucs, at Broncos, Patriots, and Raiders.

Given that they reside in the same division as Patrick Mahomes and the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, the Chargers are currently the second betting favorite to win the AFC West with their odds hovering around +350.

As for Rodgers and the Jets, they’ll be kicking off their 2024 season with a difficult road matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.
