LSU’s defensive back Greg Brooks Jr. has been diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer, medulloblastoma, the school and Brooks’ family announce.

Following an extensive surgery to remove a brain tumor located between his cerebellum and brainstem, Greg has been in recovery for the past three weeks.

Surgery had an impact on his speech and communication, per the team, which hopefully won’t be long-lasting.

Multiple LSU teammates have been showing support to Brooks during his struggle during pre-game warmups.

To help cover expenses resulting from his illness, The Tiger Athletic Foundation has launched The Greg Brooks Victory Fund. Supporters can contribute to The Greg Brooks Victory Fund through their website.

Under NCAA rules, LSU is permitted to accept financial gifts to assist Greg Brooks during this challenging time.
