Luka Dončić is one of the most gifted offensive players ever to touch a basketball. The Slovenian is on pace to destroy nearly every offensive record.

There’s really nothing he can’t do on the offensive hand. His handles and body control are incredible, he can shoot from three, and he’s one of the great finishers in all of basketball.

That’s led him to some pretty big accolades. He’s already been All-NBA First Team three times in his first four seasons. He was rookie of the year, averaging over 26 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists a game for his career at 23. Only LeBron James has come close to those numbers at such a young age.

So, 30-point games and triple-doubles aren’t that rare for the superstar. But, what he did Tuesday night at home against the New York Knicks will go down in NBA history as one of the all-time great performances.

Luka Dončić had one of the greatest games in NBA history on Tuesday

The Mavs took on the Knicks in Dallas on Tuesday. What happened was a performance that will be remembered forever.

Doncic was electric and had 53 points with just seconds remaining in regulation. Then, he made this play to send it to overtime.

He led the Mavs to a 126-121 win in overtime, and this was his remarkable final stat line.

Here are some highlights.

And, it was history-making.

It’s up there with Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point performance and Kobe Bryant’s 81-point performance in NBA lore. And, while he has many years left to play, it may end up as the signature performance of one of the greatest players ever careers.
