The Giants suffered a big setback after Malik Nabers suffered a concussion against the Cowboys, and it would appear Brian Daboll is not happy with his wide receiver’s decision to go to a concert just a couple of days before he was ruled out for the second straight week.

The New York Giants knew they needed all the help they could get on offense after losing Saquon Barkley to the Eagles ahead of a 2024 campaign where they once again decided to put their faith in Daniel Jones, and they managed to get some by using the sixth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to select Malik Nabers.

Nabers was one of the best wide receivers in the country during his time at LSU, and he didn’t waste any time picking up where he left off after taking his talents to the NFL.

The rookie snagged 35 catches for 386 yards while scoring three touchdowns in his first four games, and he’d caught 12 passes for 115 yards when the Giants faced off against the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football at the end of September before he was knocked out of the game with the concussion he suffered toward the end of the fourth quarter.

Nabers was ruled out for last week’s game against the Seahawks, and on Friday, the Giants confirmed he won’t be suiting up for Sunday night;s showdown with the Bengals as he continues to recover from the the damage that was inflicted when his head slammed into the turf while he was trying to haul in a pass.

People who’ve sustained a concussion are typically advised to avoid loud noises and bright lights, which could both be found in ample qualities at the concert Travis Scott held at MetLife Stadium on Wednesday night—a show that Nabers attended.

It doesn’t sound like Brian Daboll was thrilled with that decision based on his response to a question about whether or not he had any issue with Naber being at the concert during a press conference on Friday; while he acknowledged the wideout didn’t violate any protocol rules, it’s pretty safe to assume the head coach didn’t give him the seal of approval based on his response.

It sure sounds like a certain someone is going to be getting a crash course in the importance of optics.
