The National Championship game takes place on Monday, January 9 between the TCU Horned Frogs and Georgia Bulldogs.
It should be a great contest, but at least one person is going to be paying extra close attention to the game.
According to Bleacher Report, Mattress Mack, a well-known businessman and sports better, has officially thrown down a cool $1.5 million on TCU to upset Georgia. The Texas native rarely shies away from big bets, as we’ve seen him do this numerous times before.

Mattress Mack tends to throw big money down on Texas teams whenever they make the championship game. However, Georgia is currently a 12.5 favorite to win. This makes TCU a massive underdog for the upcoming matchup. Mack is going heavily against the grain on this massive bet. The odds are definitely against him.
Of course, there are different types of bets he could have made. Bleacher Report doesn’t pinpoint whether or not Mattress Mack bet on TCU to cover the spread or to outright win the game. If he bet on the spread, then his odds increase to win. If not, well, he and the Horned Frogs essentially need a miracle according to the odds makers.
We’ll see how it plays out on January 9. We just hope for the National Championship to be an exciting game. After watching TCU beat Michigan, you can’t quite rule out the Horned Frogs. Even if Georgia looks like a complete juggernaut.
