Maxx Crosby Wants Aaron Rodgers To Join The Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders need to figure out their quarterback situation for next season. It’s hard to imagine they’ll roll with Aidan O’Connell next year as they look to rebuild once again.

Superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby has the solution. He wants the team to bring in Aaron Rodgers, who will be a free agent once free agency begins.

That would be a controversial addition, to say the least. Rodgers left the Packers after the 2022 season and headed to the New York Jets, which was a disaster. He missed all but four of the 2023 season after tearing his Achilles. Statistically, his 2024 wasn’t dismal. But, at 40, he was a diminished player from his prime years that were as good as any quarterback’s prime ever. And, the Jets were awful, as he showed very little leadership ability. It was a treacherous experience for Jets fans, and he made more headlines off the field for his weekly appearances on the Pat McAfee Show than he did on the football field.

The Jets parted ways with Rodgers, and he will be a free agent when free agency starts on March 10. The New York Giants are the team most closely linked with Aaron Rodgers. But, Maxx Crosby, the perennial Raider Pro Bowl defensive end, wants him in silver and black.

Remember, minority owner Tom Brady is part of the leadership group in Las Vegas and has serious input on huge decisions like this. I can’t imagine Tom Brady signing off on this move. It’s not a smart long-term play. I understand that Maxx Crosby wants to be competitive in his prime years. But, for the Raiders, it wouldn’t be a smart move.
