A Memphis, Tennessee, weatherman is responding to angry fans who criticized his network for posting tornado warnings during the Florida-Auburn final four game.
For the past week, Memphis and other mid-southern cities have experienced extreme weather, including deadly tornadoes in the area.
On Saturday night, WREG CBS in Memphis broadcast continuous weather updates while showing the Florida-Auburn game without sound.

Local sports personality Chris Vernon was not happy about WREG’s decision to include sound during their coverage of the final four games.
“I HAVE STAYED SILENT BUT THIS WAS INSANITY. IF PEOPLE WANNA KNOW THE WEATHER, CHANNEL 3 IS NOT THE ONLY PLACE CAN. ITS 2025! ITS NOT LIKE THEY DIE IF DON’T HEAR FROM YOU. WHILE, IN FACT, IT IS THE ONLY OPTION FOR THE FINAL 4. AND WE MISSED ANNOUNCERS. THE ENTIRE GAME.”
WREG weatherman Tyler Eliasen fired back at angry basketball fans, who were unhappy about the severe weather coverage during the Florida-Auburn game.
