England is desperately trying to keep the location of their team hotel in Mexico a secret, but local journalists are reportedly planning to sabotage them.

Last week, Mexican fans camped outside of Ecuador’s team hotel to make noise all night ahead of their Round of 32 game in Mexico.

Ecuador eventually lost its game against Mexico and filed a complaint with FIFA.

“Such conduct stands in stark contrast to the principles of fair play, equity, and unity that a World Cup should embody,” the federation, known as FEF, said in a statement. “The FEF respectfully calls upon the competent authorities to pay greater attention to these events and to adopt the necessary measures to safeguard the safety of our players, coaching staff, and fans.”

According to a report from The Sun, England is attempting to keep their hotel location a secret, but Mexican journalists plan to leak it to fans ahead of their game in Mexico on Sunday.

England face Mexico at the iconic Azteca Stadium at 1am BST on Monday – but are trying to keep their team hotel under wraps to avoid fan disruption.

Mexican reporters plan to reveal England‘s hotel location, clearing the way for fans to recreate the chaos.

Hopefully, the English players packed some good earplugs because Mexican fans were pretty loud outside of Ecuador’s hotel.
