I’ve seen this rebound-assist play from Lonzo Ball on my Instagram and Twitter timelines about 399 times today and it ain’t all that sweet. A solid heads up play, but it wouldn’t make news if it were Patrick Beverley or someone with less fan fare. Through seven NBA games, Lonzo has posted the following stat line: 10.4 ppg, 7.3 rpg, and 7 apg. Decent start, and the kid definitely has a bright future in the NBA, but someone’s gotta step up and stop glorifying every time he touches the ball.
