Yes, Brooks Koepka won this year’s PGA Championships. But, Michael Block is without a doubt the story of the tournament.

Michael Block’s day-to-day life consists of being a club pro at Arroyo Trabuco Country Club in Mission Viejo, California. But, he qualified for this year’s PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York.

Most of the PGA Club Professionals that qualify are very much just happy to be there. But, Michael Block made the most of his opportunity and shot even par each of the first three rounds. That set him up with a final pairing with Rory McIlroy.

And, he even made an incredible hole-in-one

on the 15th hole in the final round to put him inside the top 15, which qualifies a player for next year’s PGA Championship at Valhalla.

But, he needed a miraculous up-and-down on the short side of the flag stick on the final hole to qualify for next year’s tournament. Just like he has all tournament, Michael Block delivered.

After that final hole, he sat down with Amanda Balionis in an unforgettable and emotional interview.

Michael Block made a ton of money this weekend, too.

Overall, a pretty bang-up week for Michael Block.
