Michael Block famously drained a hole-in-one at the 2023 PGA Championship, which helped skyrocket him to viral fame with a top-15 finish as the lowest-scoring club professional. He did it again on Friday night at the Presidents Cup in Montreal alongside Wayne Gretzky and celebrated by dropping The Great One’s wife.
It was a hilariously awkward moment that is not getting enough attention!
Block, 48, aced the 15th hole during the final round of his miraculous run at Oak Hill. The crowd went absolutely bonkers and even Rory McIlroy could not believe his eyes.
In homage to Block’s hole-in-one, Michelob Ultra invited him to Canada for an exhibition competition after the second round of the Presidents Cup. He and Gretzky, who used to play a lot of golf alongside son-in-law Dustin Johnson, had 90 attempts to get a hole-in-one.
It took quite a few attempts, but Block finally drained one long after the sun went down. The party was underway as soon as the ball went in the hole and continued into Saturday morning at the 19th hole.

Janet Gretzy took a tumble during all of the excitement.
Block turned around as soon as the ball went in the cup, wrapped his arms around Gretzky’s waist and thrust her into the air out of joy. However, he did not make sure that she had both feet back on the ground before he let her go.
Michael Block dropped Wayne Gretzky’s wife and she fell onto her butt!
The entire sequence of events was reminiscent of former WWE wrestler Arn Anderson’s legendary Spinebuster. Gretzky never saw it coming.
Imagine trying to explain that moment to someone in 2022.
Not only did a PGA club professional become a household name, he beat the greatest hockey player of all-time in a hole-in-one competition at the Presidents Cup and proceeded to drop his wife during the celebration. What a wild sentence!
