51-year-old Michael Irvin says that not only does he want to set up a celebrity MMA tournament he also wants to participate in it. Don’t rule it out, either.

And still has some serious guns…
Speaking to TMZ a couple of days ago, Irvin expressed his deep desire to throw hands inside the cage.
“I train MMA, man. I want to do it. I want to get in there one time. My wife says I’m her mule and she can’t have her mule out there getting hurt. I gotta bring her her money. She won’t let me do it.”
“I actually wouldn’t mind getting in and having a fight. Oh my God, I would love to take a fight.”
While Irvin knows there is no way he will ever be able to fight with the pros, he has an idea that I would certainly watch the hell out of if it were to ever actually happen.
“What I wish they would do is maybe some amateur MMA fighting, celebrity style, this celebrity against that celebrity. Let me find me a couple dudes that have maybe said something I don’t like and we can get up in that ring. I would whoop somebody up, man. I would enjoy that. I just love the sport.”
Something tells me that another former NFL wide receiver, Chad Johnson, would also be very down with this venture.
