Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh looked game ready ahead of the national championship game against Washington. Sporting a pair of receiving gloves, he warmed up with quarterback JJ McCarthy on the field.

It produced the perfect college football image as Harbaugh also rocked his patented slacks and tucked in collared shirt.

Harbaugh was loose ahead of the biggest game of his college coaching career.

The Wolverines are looking to cap a perfect season after surviving the opening round in overtime against Alabama.

Despite everything that’s at stake, the head coach is prepping as if this is just another game. That week-by-week mindset has translated to on-field success, and the coaching staff has done everything it can to duplicate that in Houston.

“The approach really, it was the same,” Jim Harbaugh said in the leadup to the Michigan-Washington matchup. “We try to duplicate an in-season week as far as the preparation, what we do on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.”

While he’s done everything in his power to provide consistency, there’s one thing that’s out of his control – a high-powered Washington attack.

The Wolverines, while stout on defense, have yet to face an offense with the firepower the Huskies boast.

Micheal Penix leads the nation in passing and he has a plethora of weapons at the skill positions.

Both teams have impressed on their paths to the national championship game, and this game features strength on strength. What a way to close out the college football season!
