Michigan wide receiver Roman Wilson made a ridiculous TD catch on Saturday against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Pass catcher Roman Wilson wrapped his arms around a defender to pin the football up against his opponent’s back.

Wilson was able to maintain control of the reception amid the bear hug, resulting in six points for the Wolverines.

The catch kickstarted the contest for UM, giving the offense a score on its first drive of the afternoon. It was Wilson’s seventh touchdown catch of the year; an insane number given we’re less than five games into the college football season.

This particular catch had shades of Alabama’s Tyrone Prothro back in 2005.

Fans were quick to comment on social media.

“Catch of the year guaranteed,” one follower said, though Florida’s Ricky Pearsall might have something to say about that.

“SC TOP 10…. THATS UNREAL,” said someone else.

“Awful throw, amazing catch, turn around and it’s a pick,” this person wrote.

Wilson’s insane catch put Michigan up 7-0. They’ve since pushed that advantage to 21-0 as they look to improve to 5-0 on the season and pick up another Big Ten victory.

They’ve gotten off to that start despite a three-game suspension for head coach Jim Harbaugh at the beginning of the season. They’ll look to keep these types of plays going in hopes of reaching a third straight College Football Playoff.
