The Michigan State football program has had a no good, very bad year.

Head coach Mel Tucker was fired mid-season for sexual harassment and the Spartans sit at the bottom of the Big Ten East with a 3-6 record.

But it’s not all bad news.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Katin Houser has flashed moments of brilliance when he’s played and senior wideout Montorie Foster Jr. has proved to be a dynamic weapon.

That duo combined for one of the best plays you’ll see all season against the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday.

Houser dropped back to pass and threw the ball up for Foster, who appeared to be running a comeback. The ball was thrown a bit off target. But that made no difference for Foster, who plucked it out of a mid-air with one hand, because juke two Indiana defenders out of their shoes.

He then spun past another, broke a tackle and raced to the end zone to give the Spartans a 14-7 lead heading into the half.

“We sucked but we had the coolest play of the season, so that’s nice,” @B1Gsad tweeted about the play.

Here you go. This is about as good as it gets. Montorie Foster with the ridiculous catch and TD,” said @DanMillerFox2.

Michigan State has had a season to forget. But Foster will likely remember that play for the rest of his life.
