Minor League Baseball Team Unveils Glow-In-The-Dark Uniforms And They’re So Sick

The arms race for the sickest uniforms in sports is always ongoing, with teams doing whatever they can to take the lead—if only for a short while, anyway—as they push the limits and try to be the most creative.

And while the Oregon Ducks football team is always the leader in the clubhouse, the Columbia Fireflies—a Single A affiliate of the New York Mets—may have just closed the gap a little bit.

After unveiling a new look for the upcoming season, the Fireflies took their name a little too literal, actually introducing a glow-in-the-dark cap that will accompany the new threads.

The rest of the uniforms are pretty tight, too, with bright colors and dope stitching across the chest, but those lit up caps are where it’s at, bros.

According to Big League Stew, the Fireflies aren’t the first team to incorporate the glow-in-the-dark look into their uniforms, as the Casper Ghosts have worn them well. Still, it’s a rare design that I wish more teams would start thinking about doing.
