The Cleveland Guardians are taking on the New York Yankees in an early season matchup on Wednesday.

Itโ€™s been a normal game, for the most part. However, one of the umpires took a baseball to the dome in the middle of the play.

Jimmy Randazzo shares the full clip of how it transpired. The Guardians attempt to throw the ball to home plate from the outfield after the Yankees hit it off the wall.

The only problem is, that the ump is basically standing in the direct path. As a result, he gets drilled in the head.

Ouch! Guy fell like a sack of potatoes. Luckily he got right up and seems to be just fine. But, man. That has to hurt.

As you can imagine, MLB fans were quick to share their reactions.

Some MLB fans think the Yankees get all of the breaks.

A ton of MLB fans think karma is at play here.

Whereโ€™s Rasheed Wallace when you need him?

Hey, the umpires have been a bit worse than usual this year. But itโ€™s not like these guys deserve to get struck in the dome by a baseball.

Either way, MLB fans surely didnโ€™t hold back in their reactions.
