It’s only March but we have a bet slip that’s already making a push for the most bizarre you’ll see this year.

And what’s more impressive, it actually hit.

This bettor placed a five-leg parlay all the way back in January containing wagers on the AFC and NFC Championships, the Final Four, and a pair of NBA first basket scorers.

After two months of waiting, the parlay finally cashed. Take a look below.

Let’s start from the beginning.

The bettor correctly picked the 49ers and Bengals to both cover as underdogs in their division championship games. Cincinnati won outright while San Francisco covered the 3.5-point spread by a half-point.

Then, the wager moved onto its next phase, a pair of NBA first basket bets in late January action. Kristaps Porzingis and Jaylen Brown notched opening buckets to keep the slip alive.

That’s when the waiting began. Rather than cash out, the bettor let the parlay ride on March Madness. They needed Villanova to make it to the Final Four in order to receive the payout.

That happened on Saturday.

The Wildcats took down Delaware, Ohio State, Michigan, and Houston to remain as one of the last four teams in the NCAA Tournament field. In doing so, they helped this bettor cash out a $2,000 payday on this $5 wager.

The improbable pick probably seemed like a longshot to hit when placed back in January. Fast forward to the end of March, and this bettor is $2,000 richer after a two month wait.

With the wide range of bet type spread over a variety of different sports, this will certainly go down as one of the more bizarre wagers of the year.
