Absolutely nothing has gone right for Russell Westbrook this season. His efficiency is worse than ever. The Los Angeles Lakers are a massive disappointment. The teams has shown no signs that they’re ever going to gel.

Now even NBA 2K is taking shots at Russell Westbrook. In their latest set of updated ratings, they gave Westbrook a rating of 79.

That might not sound so terrible, but in the context of the players who are now ahead of him, it’s pretty bad. A 79 rating puts Westbrook outside of the top 100 players in the league. The rating is also the 46th highest among NBA guards.

With a rating like that and a contract that pays him around $41 million per year, it makes him almost unrosterable if you’re trying to build a franchise in the game. It also shines a light on just how bad of an investment he has been in real life this year.

The worst part of Westbrook’s rating is some of the players he now finds himself with a worse rating than. He is currently a point lower than Alex Caruso, who the Lakers let walk in free agency to be able to afford Westbrook. It’s the same grade as De’Anthony Melton, who comes off the bench for the Memphis Grizzlies.

It’s only a point better than Kemba Walker who has been so bad for the disastrous Knicks, that he was benched at one point this season.

Westbrook’s rating has now gotten bad enough, that 2K players looking for an edge in online games are probably already benching him in favor of starting LeBron at point guard and getting Malik Monk into the lineup.

Whether we’re talking about the real or virtual world, it’s been a rough year for Russ.
