Every year, the NBA has a draft lottery and every time the fans of teams that didn’t win it say it was rigged. And, the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery was no different.
This year’s lottery had heightened stakes, as mega-prospect Victor Wembanyama was on the line and is considered one of the best NBA Draft prospects ever. the 7-foot-4 French center can do everything on the basketball court.

And, he’s almost certainly going to be a member of the San Antonio Spurs, who won the draft lottery Tuesday night.
The results for the Top 4 picks in the 2023 #NBADraftLottery presented by State Farm:
1. Spurs
2. Hornets
3. Trail Blazers

First off, congrats to the Spurs, who will now have used all three of their number one picks in history on centers. The other two are, of course, David Robinson and Tim Duncan. Those two worked out pretty well.
But, NBA fans are still saying it’s rigged.

Here’s the problem with the “The NBA Draft Lottery is rigged” crowd. You can watch the whole thing on Youtube! After the pics are publicly revealed, they show the entire process, with representatives from each team in the room.
If you genuinely think the NBA Draft Lottery is rigged, I don’t think you’re very smart.
