NBA Fans Aren’t Sure How To Feel About Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Game 4 Return Vs. Miami Heat

While Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid looks like the favorite to win the NBA MVP award, it’s Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo who may well be the league’s best player.

At least, that’s what a number of NBA players seemed to indicate in an anonymous poll by The Athletic.

“He looks like he has no signs of slowing down,” one player said about The Greek Freak. “He’s been dominating the NBA for so long. He’s so serious about his craft and his work ethic. He’s going to be great for at least another eight or nine years. That makes for a good, long run.”

Antetokounmpo helped the Bucks to a 58-24 record this season, the best in the NBA, and the top seed in the Eastern Conference. But that all came crashing down, literally, when he suffered a back in the first quarter of Game 1 against the Miami Heat.

Miami went on to win the game and take a surprise 1-0 lead in the series. Antetokounmpo missed Game 2, but the Bucks rallied to win without him.

While there was hope that he’d be back, Antetokounmpo also missed Game 3 in Miami. The Heat took advantage and grabbed a 2-1 series lead.

Now, with their season potentially in the balance, the Bucks enter Game 4 with their backs against the wall. Thankfully, Antetkounmpo is going to attempt to come to their rescue.

Sources: Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo will return to the lineup in Game 4 vs. Heat tonight barring any setbacks. Antetokounmpo missed Games 2 and 3 with a lower back contusion,” The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported on Monday morning.

Unsurprisingly, Milwaukee Bucks fans were over the moon about the news.

Miami Heat fans, on the other hand, were a bit less excited about his return.

But hey, you never know. It’s playoff basketball, where anything can happen.
