The NBA Summer League is underway as top prospects prepare themselves for the professional level.
One team to keep an eye on right now is the Oklahoma City Thunder, as the franchise has plenty of young talent to be excited about.
However, a little mishap took place recently after an NBA reporter accidentally roasted one of the Thunders’ top prospects in front of his teammates.
Awful Announcing shares the clip that has since gone viral of Holly Rowe calling Jalen Williams “the REAL” Jalen while his teammate Jaylin Williams was standing right there.
As soon as she said that, you can see teammates Tre Mann and Chet Holmgren look at Jaylin Williams (No. 6) awkwardly. Eventually, Holmgren can’t contain himself and begins laughing.

It’s just a super awkward thing to say. Rowe could’ve praised Jalen Williams without roasting his teammate Jaylin Williams like that.
Unfortunately, they have the same name spelt differently. But it was just a weird thing to see an NBA reporter accidentally dunk on one of the Thunders’ top prospect like that.
Basketball fans couldn’t believe it either, as many of them complained about Holly Rowe’s comments.

It’s likely Jaylin didn’t take too much offense to it. I mean, he laughed it off with Chet Holmgren. So, at least the kid has a sense of humor about it.
But maybe after being called out by NBA fans, perhaps Holly Rowe won’t make that mistake again.
