Former Kansas Jayhawks star and No. 4 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft Josh Jackson is facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims he sexually assaulted her in 2022.

The woman also claims that Jackson then sent a pair of women to her apartment in order to rob and intimidate her, according to a report from the Kansas City Star.

“Former Kansas men’s basketball player Josh Jackson has been accused of raping a woman last year at a New York hotel and then sending two women to break into her apartment to threaten her, according to a federal lawsuit the woman filed,” the report states.

Jackson was a second-team All-American as a freshman for the Jayhawks in 2017.

The Phoenix Suns then selected him with the fourth pick of the 2017 NBA Draft. But the California native struggled to find his footing in the league and bounced from Phoenix, to Memphis, to Detroit, to Sacramento.

He last played for the Kings’ G-League team, the Stockton Kings, in 2023.

Woman Claims Ex-NBA Star Josh Jackson Sexually Assaulted Her In Hotel Room

In the lawsuit, the woman claims to have met Jackson at a Super Bowl after party in 2022.

She claims that Jackson then sexually assaulted her later than evening in his hotel room.

Following the night of the alleged incident, “the woman said she started getting ‘threatening texts’ from a man who she is also suing. His messages accused her of stealing a watch from Jackson — which she said she knew nothing about,” per the report.

She then claims that two “hoodie-clad” women, who her lawyers state are sisters, came to her home, broke in and threatened her life with a gun.

Her attorneys state that doormen tackled the sisters, who were later arrested by New York police officers.

Neither the NBA nor the Stockton Kings have issued a statement on the report at this time.
