Madden 24 is set to release on August 18 and many are hoping for the franchise to continue improving from recent years.
The last version was a nice step forward, but it appears EA Sports is making new changes for the franchise mode of the video game.
Recently, the Madden series shared some new features its bringing to franchise mode and it could be more in depth than ever before.
Mini games has been something fans have been wanting for a long time and they’re coming back. In fact, they’re going to be heavily featured throughout franchise mode.
This should give players more control on how to develop players on the roster.
Additionally, there are more options available now when it comes to team relocating. From different cities to new uniform/logo options, fans have more decisions to make if they choose to relocate their franchise in the game.
On top of that, the coaching tree is receiving an update too, which is a nice touch to help you build your roster how you want.
The Madden social team shared a short video further explaining these features for the upcoming franchise mode.

On the surface, all of this sounds great. People who play franchise mode want to have the most realistic and immersive experience possible. So, these features are another step forward in the right direction.
However, it’s not perfect. There are plenty of other areas the game could use to improve. Additionally, after years of putting out a lackluster product, many are still wary about the Madden series in general.
It seems like a smoke show. Personally I want an in depth uniform creator like they have in NHL. I was turned off by “new uniform and team options” I’ll watch you play it then decide weather to get it or not.

As long as the game continues to make progress, fans should eventually get a product they’re happy with.

Hopefully, one day steps one and five become more positive.
The cycle of a madden player:
1: this madden sucks, I’m done with it
2: football season rolls around
3: EA starts releasing tid-bits about this seasons game to build up hype
4: player base gets excited cause football is around the corner
5: buys game and is disappointed

Stats generated from simulated games has been a problem for a while. This would be a very underrated feature to improve.
Sim stats are broken. Player ratings don’t matter when baker mayfield is throwing 5k n 40 bc he’s on the bucs and Carson wentz shouldn’t run for 1.2k if he ends up on the ravens. Lamar shouldn’t be rushing for 300 yards because he goes to another team. Fix sim stats.

Just keep improving game little by little.
Finally showing love to Franchise. Between that, cross-platform, and the new game mode, we may finally have a good Madden. Let's make sure devs don't get lazy once released.

More customizing options would be huge!
I’m liking a lot of this stuff, but if the game is a broken mess like last year none of it will matter. Also really appreciate the refresh of team relocation, but I’d still prefer a create a team/stadium mode like @EASPORTSNHL and the old ps2 era madden games.

We won’t really know how good, or bad, this game will be until its released.
With that said, many are still likely to buy this game on August 18. Especially since these new features are rather promising.
