NFL ‘Rigged’ Conspiracy Theorists Are In Overdrive With Chiefs Making The Super Bowl

With only one more game yet to play, the Super Bowl, and with the Kansas City Swifts, err, I mean Chiefs, still in the mix to win the championship, there is less than two weeks left for all the “NFL rigged” conspiracy theorists to make their cases.

While the TV station listing and Super Bowl logo conspiracies were blown out of the water on Sunday with the Ravens being defeated by Kansas City, there are still quite a few NFL rigged truthers out there who just won’t give it up.

One example that has been popular on social media since the Chiefs beat the Ravens has to do with a key play in the fourth quarter.

With Baltimore desperately trying to mount a comeback late in the fourth quarter and with the ball almost in the red zone, Lamar Jackson threw a pass to Isaiah Likely on third down that would have given Baltimore a first down.

Take a look…

That obvious missed call, combined with what happened to the Eagles’ James Bradberry during last year’s Super Bowl only fueled the conspiracy theorists.

“It’s amazing that the ball in the superbowl was uncatchable as well but of course the refs gave it to the Chiefs!!” read another comment.

Another moment in the AFC Championship that fed the narrative that the NFL wanted the Chiefs (and Taylor Swift) to participate in this year’s Super Bowl came when Zay Flowers fumbled the ball at the goal line and the NFL’s own X (Twitter) account posted a snarky, sarcastic tweet (which they later deleted then re-posted with a different caption).

Not a great look for the NFL there.

Of course, those two examples were far from the only ones the NFL rigged truthers were able to pull out of the game.

Heck, even a former Presidential candidate was spouting his theories about the NFL being rigged after the AFC Championship Game.

Want more proof that the whole NFL rigged conspiracy theory thing has gotten so out of hand? Here you go…

“Chiefs got first down on both plays,” someone on X commented. “Refs didn’t even try to check spot lol. Crazy how they did everything to make sure score stay 17-10. Everyone bet over and parlays. Lost damn near every dollar picking players to catch a pass. Before half literally 6 3 and outs by both smfh.”

Yep, it should be very fun on social media if the Chiefs go on the defeat the 49ers in the big game. Stay tuned…
