High School Basketball Player And 5-Star Football Recruit Shatters The Backboard

Chandler, Arizona high school senior N’Keal Harry took a beautiful outlet pass from his teammate and absolutely made it count by shattering the backboard into a million little pieces with a pretty powerful two-handed dunk. I say “pretty powerful,” because this wasn’t exactly Charles Barkley breaking free for one of his vicious two-handed jams. This feels more like the cumulative effect of the rim getting abused in the pregame shoot-around dunk-around.

Still, he shattered the freakin’ backboard. Considering the words “House of Payne” are painted on the wall directly behind the hoop, I’m quite positive this was his destiny.

And when you shatter a backboard in high school, it’s game over. No one is racing to the court with a backup hoop to install so things can continue. So you can add “walkoff dunk” to N’Keal Harry’s resume, along with the fact he’ll be playing wide receiver for Arizona State in the fall.

Chandler was leading at the time of the earth-shaking moment, but no word yet as to when they’ll finish the beatdown.
