A longtime University of North Carolina professor has asked the school to “end this circus” surrounding head football coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson.
Belichick, 73, just completed his first season ever coaching in the college ranks. The Tar Heels finished a disappointing 4-8 and missed out on playing in a bowl.
However, for a 4-8 college football team, the North Carolina Tar Heels were often in the news. Unfortunately, the media directed most of that attention at Bill Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend.
Many fans, donors, former players, and alumni have expressed dissatisfaction with the football program since Belichick took over. Many of those same fans cite Jordon Hudson when making their complaints.
One of those people unhappy with the state of affairs there is longtime University of North Carolina Law and Government professor Christopher B. McLaughlin. He wrote an email to athletic director Bubba Cunningham with the subject line: “please end this circus.”
“When you agreed to pay a king’s ransom to hire Bill Belichick, did you also know that you were hiring Jordon Hudson to serve as the primary face of UNC athletics?” McLaughlin asked, according to The Spun.

The drama surrounding Bill Belichick at North Carolina doesn’t just involve his bizarre relationship with Jordon Hudson. There is also the question of how she managed to amass a small fortune at such a young age and why she is ever-present on the field at games.
Another matter is the lawsuit that Hudson has threatened, but yet to follow through on, against journalist Pablo Torre. Torre has produced strange Ring videos of the couple and alleged evidence that she has been around Belichick since at least 2021, well before they claim they met. He also has shared damning, awkward footage of Hudson exerting control over Belichick.
Plus, there is also the matter of a lawsuit which accuses University of North Carolina Board of Trustees of illegally hiring Belichick. In the suit, former University of North Carolina provost Chris Clemens accuses the trustees of hiring Belichick in an illegal closed session violating of North Carolina’s open-meetings and public-records laws.
