Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has expressed interest in returning to the New York Giants, telling star running back Saquon Barkley to have general manager Joe Schoen call his agent. Despite the Giants already adding several pieces at the position, they have reportedly not ruled out the possibility of signing Beckham.

Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reported that the Giants are still in the mix for the former first-round pick, despite previous suggestions to the contrary. This report was followed shortly after by Beckham himself, who tweeted at Barkley to pass along a message to Schoen.

Although it is uncertain whether Beckham’s tweet was directed specifically at the Giants, his frustration with the lackluster offers he has received in free agency is palpable. In fact, he followed up his initial tweet by suggesting that negotiations with one team were not meeting his expectations.

The Giants, led by Schoen, have been cautious in their approach to free agency, avoiding the kind of disastrous deals that were made by their predecessor, Dave Gettleman. While it is unlikely that the team will offer Beckham a big-money contract, the possibility remains open.

Other Teams Interested

Beckham has reportedly garnered interest from several other teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, and Dallas Cowboys. Additionally, ESPN reporter Dianna Russini has stated that the New York Jets have also expressed interest in signing the talented wide receiver.

As the free agency period continues, it remains to be seen where Beckham will ultimately end up. However, with his history with the Giants, it would not be surprising to see him return to New York if the right deal presents itself.
