Odell Beckham Jr. had a bit of Covid scare last week but he doesn’t think he’s able to contract the virus because he’s just built different.

Before the Browns’ game against the Steelers, Beckham spent some time away from the team when he showed symptoms of illness but was eventually able to play on Sunday after testing negative for the Coronavirus.

Odell Beckham Jr.’s COVID-19 test came back negative as did that of everyone else in the building, and the Browns facility is open today, a league source told cleveland.com.

It means the Browns’ game in Pittsburgh for Sunday at 1 p.m. is still on.

Beckham was sent home with an illness on Thursday, and the Browns were awaiting his test results on Friday. He will remain at home today and sit out practice with his symptoms, per the COVID-19 protocol. The NFL issued new guidelines on Thursday stating that anyone with flu-like symptoms such a cough, sore throat or nasal congestion must remain at home regardless of whether they’ve tested positive for COVID-19.

While speaking to the media on Wednesday Beckham said he wasn’t worried about testing positive for Coronavirus because he doesn’t think Covid can enter his body.

Beckham was instantly mocked for his thoughts on Covid-19.
