Olivia Dunne’s mom is firing back at people criticizing her daughter after a group of unruly fans showed up to see her.
On Friday, Dunne and LSU had their first meet against Utah, and some fans got pretty rowdy when they tried to catch a glimpse of the social media superstar.
I was walking out just behind you, Sam, and they were screaming to me, "Are you Livvy's mom? Are you Livvy's mom?" Very disturbing. Creepy, actually.

Things got so out of hand that LSU had to move their team bus and Dunne and her teammates were escorted out by police.
LSU had to move its team bus so they didn’t have to run into the group of boys. There were cops stationed in front to avoid them getting in. https://t.co/4mtWkUxAWa

Some people believe Dunne is to blame for the unruly fans who showed up to the meet.
I wonder why they are there Samantha??? Maybe just maybe Livvy’s mom should talk to her as well. You are shocked yet have you seen her content? I don’t agree with what they boys did but my god when you build your business on fans and provocative pics, this is the byproduct. pic.twitter.com/eASutXjDu9

Dunne’s mom Katherine blasted people who were blaming her daughter for the fans who were disrespectful at the meet.
It is not ok to blame any athlete/celebrity when fan behavior crosses the line. In a sport where all the girls wear nothing but leotards stop suggesting that how Livvy dresses means she deserves this in any way. Stop shaming girls for the behavior of boys. https://t.co/SG728snPRA
