Paul Skenes was not concerned with Olivia Dunne’s welding abilities ahead of his first-career spring training start. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft was in full support of his girlfriend despite her best effort to freak him out!

Dunne, who is wrapping up her senior year at LSU, started dating Skenes last spring. They finally confirmed their relationship over the summer after the former attended many of the latter’s minor league games with the Altoona Curve on the Double-A level.

Now, almost a year later, Skenes is set to make the first spring training start of his professional career on Thursday afternoon. He will toe the rubber for the Pittsburgh Pirates and is expected to throw anywhere between one and three innings. It depends on his pitch count.

Regardless of how long he is on the bump, Skenes will not be worrying about Dunne’s newest NIL deal— even though it isn’t a real partnership to begin with.

A new TikTok trend involves underwater welding, one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.

Women are calling their families to let them know that they have either been offered or accepted a position as an underwater welder. The reactions that they receive, especially from their dads, are hilarious.

Livvy Dunne decided to hop on the trend but did so in her own unique way. She called Paul Skenes to tell him that she had agreed to a new NIL deal with Exxon Mobil. The partnership will require her to weld underwater.

Although the LSU gymnast expected the pitching phenom to freak out, he was in full support. His reaction was not at all what she had hoped for sake of her video. Skenes was confident that Exxon would not ask Dunne to do anything that she cannot do.

@livvy

Not the answer i expected… supportive king #foryou#oilrig#prank#welding

Skenes obviously had zero knowledge of underwater welding and/or the danger involved so he was not worried about Dunne!
