Paris may not be the ‘City of Love’ after all because Lara Vadlau and Lea Schuller broke up at the Olympics. They announced the split just days after winning medals in their respective events.
It is a travesty!
Vadlau, 30, represents Australia in sailing. She won gold on Thursday in the mixed dinghy event.
Schuller, 26, plays for the German national soccer team. Die Nationalelf picked up a bronze medal with a 1-0 win over Spain on Friday.
They had been dating for more than three years, but a large amount of their relationship was long distance. When the couple was able to spend time together, clothes were optional.
It wasn’t really their thing.
For some entirely unknown reason, people didn’t appreciate how the Olympians carried themselves. Critics were furious by their behavior. They didn’t understand why.
We have beautiful bodies – why shouldn’t we show them off? You can be a bit provocative.

The Olympics finally offered Vadlau and Schuller a chance to be in the same city for an extended period of time. They were pumped.
We rarely see each other, only about 100 days a year, because Lara is away a lot and trains hard to prepare for the Games.

Unfortunately, their trip to France did not go as well as they hoped. Their relationship is over.
Lea is no longer my partner. Of course I am very proud of her and we are still very good friends and I am keeping my fingers crossed for her.

It is unclear as to whether the breakup took place before or after the Olympics. No further explanation as to what might’ve happened was provided. That’s their business.
Regardless of what went down between Lara Vadlau and Lea Schuller, the former recently posted on Instagram about turning 30. She joked that life is too short to settle down and expressed her desire to keep the party going. Perhaps that had something to do with the split. We don’t know!
The good news is that the former couple is still on great terms. It was an amicable breakup.
The bad news is that love is officially dead. For this to happen in Paris, of all places, is a travesty. If not there, then where?!
