The Oregon Ducks are entering uncharted territory this coming football season as the program transitions out of the PAC 12 and into the Big Ten.

While they’ll be the new kid on the block in 2024, they’ve made it clear they won’t take a back seat to anyone.

Oregon might have the most notable presence at Big Ten media days this week despite the event taking place across the country in Indianapolis. The Ducks made sure to remind fans of their conference shift.

A massive inflatable duck was seen floating in the White River on Tuesday, signaling the team’s entrance into the league.

If that duck wasn’t a large enough statement on Oregon’s standing in its new conference, the Big Ten media predictions were.

The Oregon Ducks were picked to finish 2nd in the B1G.

In Year 1, the media expects the team to compete for a Big Ten Championship. Cleveland.com unveiled its predictions for the season to come, slotting the Ducks at No. 2.

Oregon is fresh off a 12-2 finish in 2023, its fourth 10-win season in the last five years. Its only two losses came to PAC 12 champion Washington, who made the national title game.

With quarterback Dillon Gabriel coming in from Oklahoma to guide the offense, a slew of talented playmakers returning on both sides of the ball, and an unlimited supply of NIL, the sky appears to be the limit for the Ducks in ’24 and beyond.

Oregon looks to makes its presence known on the field this fall. It’s already made its mark at Big Ten media days!
