Apparently, popular golf influencer Paige Spiranac often gets asked by people if they should buy men’s or women’s golf clubs? So, she made a video to answer that interesting question.

Spiranac tackles this dilemma people seem to be having as part of her series of golf tutorials called “The Beginner’s Guide to Starting Golf.”

Seriously, Paige actually wrote in the description to the video, “I get this question about men’s vs. women’s golf clubs all the time.”

I don’t know about you, but I am fascinated that this is something people actually ask, so let’s see what Paige Spiranac has to say about it.

“Most people ask me, ‘Paige, are there clubs for women? Are there clubs for men?'” she begins.

“Well, yes and no. So, a lot of companies will make clubs for women specifically and some will make clubs for men, but really it’s not about clubs for women or clubs for men. It all has to do with your body and how fast you swing the golf club.

“So technically, I would be playing clubs for men because I have a faster swing speed and I’m a bit on the taller side. So my clubs are a bit longer, heavier and on the stiff side. So they wouldn’t be considered women’s clubs.

“But I want you to take that out of your head. It’s not about finding a club that’s for a man or a woman. It’s finding clubs that fit you.

“And again, you don’t have to break the bank and get custom-fit clubs right away. Once you get better and more consistent with your game, then definitely invest in getting custom-fit clubs, but finding a set that secondhand, going to a golf store, a lot of them have a starter set for you.”

Paige Spiranac addressed that topic a little bit in a previous video where she said you only need four golf clubs to starting playing.

“But really, think how tall am I? How fast am I swinging? And that’s actually going to put you on where you need to find your clubs,” Spiranac continued. “From a regular flex to a stiff flex, for the length that you have, the heaviness, all of that is determined on your golf swing and how your body is.

“So don’t get in your head about it. Leave your ego at the door. This is a time to try something new, to get out there, don’t be too hard on yourself, and remember to have fun. Have fun. That’s the most important part about getting started.”

So there you go.

If you found that helpful, Spiranac has also shared beginner’s videos on your first visit to a golf course, how to look and feel your best while there, what to bring with you the first time you go golfing, how to use a driving range, the different types of grass and hazards on a golf course, and how to keep score.
