Paige VanZant is back competing in combat sports!

Well, kind of.

VanZant made a name for herself as a blonde bombshell who also fought in the UFC. But after three losses in four fights, she parted ways with the company in 2020.

She then tried her hand at a number of things, including a pair of losses in BareKnuckle FC.

Since that point, VanZant has focused on her social pages as well as a potential pro wrestling career with AEW.

BKFC president Dave Feldman has tried to get VanZant back in the ring since her last fight, a loss to Rachel Ostovich in July of 2021.

“She is definitely welcome with the organization it’s just a matter of what she wants to do,” Feldman said. I think this helps her other revenue streams, it gives her notoriety to be able to get fans for her other revenue streams. I don’t think she’s going to turn it down because of money, I think the only reason she would turn it down is if she doesn’t have the desire to fight anymore.”

Though it appears that VanZant is happy sticking with her pro wrestling and social media dreams. The latter, especially, has been particularly fruitful. The former fighter has over 3.2 million followers on her Instagram page.

And it’s not hard to see why. In her latest post, VanZant teased a return to the world of combat sports. Though it may not be in the way that you’d expect.

“Did someone say oil wrestling???” the caption read as VanZant squares off in an inflatable pool across from Instagram model Airwrecka.

It may not be the return to fighting that many expected for VanZant. But it is something. And if she still opts to pursue pro wrestling, this would fit in perfectly with Attitude Era WWE.
