The Carolina Panthers made big news after making a trade up to the number one pick overall in the upcoming NFL Draft.
With the franchise expected to draft a quarterback, many have wondered who will be his pass options after dealing DJ Moore to the Chicago Bears.
Well, that question is finally answered, as the Panthers are signing veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen, per Pat McAfee.

This is an incredibly smart signing for Carolina. Sure, Thielen isn’t quite the elite pass catcher he used to be. But his veteran presence is going to be essential in the development of whichever quarterback the front office selects in the draft.
On top of that, the young wide receivers on the roster are going to largely benefit as well, as they can learn a thing or two from Adam Thielen.
It’s currently unknown who the Panthers are going to select with the top pick of the NFL Draft. Reports suggest they’re still vetting out which quarterback to pick.
Even so, the front office has done a solid job of building a competent roster for their future rookie quarterback to play with.
Additionally, the veteran coaching staff in Carolina makes this an ideal situation for any young players joining this roster.
Bravo to the Panthers for signing Adam Thielen. He should be a tremendous help to this offense.
