Stephen A. Smith and Pat McAfee were reported to be not getting along at all after an “explosive” exchange.

Supposedly, according to the report, things got so heated between the popular ESPN hosts that McAfee called Smith a “mother f—–.”

However, according to both parties involved, their relationship is just fine.

“I have nothing but love for Stephen A. I think I’m still welcome on First Take? I was scheduled through football season to join on Tuesdays, hopefully, next year that’ll happen as well,” ESPN reported McAfee said in a text.

For his part, Stephen A. Smith responded, according to NESN, “Pat McAfee and I have no issue and the notion that he’d be banned from First Take is B.S. We are No. 1 and he has absolutely contributed to us remaining No. 1. McAfee was asked to come on each Tuesday through the Super Bowl and he did just that, kicking a– each time he came on the air.”

Welp… so much for that.

Now everyone can get back to discussing how Pat McAfee is on so many drugs that he wouldn’t pass the WWE drug testing policy…

“With my particular build, if I eat pizza four times, fat a–. Okay? Fat a–. And the football season is long. And every year I’ve gained like 50-60 pounds, since retiring. So, this year I’m like ‘I’m gonna get on the rich guy stuff that cheats and keeps me thin.’ Not as full as the Ozempic move. But I’m not against it. I will head to that route in a couple years.”

And Stephen A. Smith’s ongoing feud with Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans…

“Zion Williamson, he looks fat. He looks fat… Zion Williamson went to the free throw line the other day, ladies and gentlemen, I saw a belly. You looked like you showed up to the game having just ate a buffet. Not something from the buffet, I said, ‘The buffet.’”

Good times.
