Colts Punter Pat McAfee Revealed The Touching Reason Why He Wears #1 During His Stand-Up Special ‘UNCAGED’

We’ve been vocal about our fandom and support for one of the NFL’s biggest bros, Pat McAfee. It is actually kind of concerning how much we like a guy we’ve never met, but what’s not to love about a dude who makes his living punting a football and doesn’t try to hide how much he enjoys the occasional strawberry marg? Nothing wrong with any of that.

What also sets McAfee apart is that he’s a stand-up comedian (punters have tons of time for recreational activities). He’s good to. He even just released a DVD entitled, PAT McAFEE: UNCAGEDwhich is the first ever stand up special by an active NFL player.

I never knew the poor guy was caged in the first place, but I supposed that’s neither here nor there.

Anyway, Pat was gracious enough to not only send us a copy of his new DVD but he also gave us this exclusive clip where he talks about the moment he was drafted by the Colts in the 7th round and the reason he took the number 1.

So yeah, the touching reason why he wears number one is because he didn’t care what number he wore and just wanted to get shit-faced with his family on draft day. I don’t know about you, but I was touched to my fucking core by the sentiment.
