The Kansas City Chiefs rolled into New England on Sunday for an incredibly hyped matchup against the Patriots (although the same couldn’t be said for the pieces of equipment that somehow ended up in New Jersey) to play in front of a packed house at Gillette Stadium.
Over 77,000 fans were on hand to watch what everyone expected to be a hard-fought battle—including Patrick Mahomes’ girlfriend Brittney Matthews, who tagged along with the quarterback’s brother to cheer on the Chiefs.
The duo took to the field before the game prior to heading into the stands, where they were apparently quickly identified by some Patriots fans who didn’t exactly give them the warmest of welcomes.
As soon as we sit down, drunk dude “hey everyone this is patrick mahomes girl and brother, let’s give them shit”

Over the next couple of hours, Matthews posted some updates concerning the chilly reception they were at the receiving end of as they voiced their support for Mahomes and his squad, which some fans apparently didn’t take very kindly to.
This place is horrible, people already yelling every time I stand up, am I not aloud to stand up for football game?😲🤔

I was told if I stand they will call security and kick us out, can’t stand for your team? Some fans y’all are 😂🤔

The Patriots didn’t exactly get off to the hottest start, which certainly didn’t help to assuage New England fans in the surrounding area, and when everything was said and done, Matthews informed the world that security had to escort her and Jackson to a more secure location in the stadium.
Gillette security came and got us and moved us to a safe place 🙌🏼 that’s how you know it was bad🤔🤔

The Chiefs would eventually walk away with a 23-16 victory thanks in no small part to the efforts (or lack thereof) of the officiating crew that managed to impressively screw the Patriots on multiple occasions, so it’s probably good security stepped in before some dumbass drunk person had the chance to take their frustrations out on them.
Since then, Matthews has spent a sizeable chunk of time on Twitter reacting to the win and posted one message that’s not going to help her get on the good side of Patriots fans.
