Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany recently put their Kansas City home on the market for $2.9 million leading many fans to wonder what exactly that meant.
As it turns out, it only meant that they were planning on moving to a MUCH larger property located in Cass County, Missouri.
That property now includes a massive new mansion, a giant pool, a big private pond, half a football field with Patrick’s personal logo on it and his name painted in the end zone, and their own par 3 golf hole.
The Mahomes’ old house, which they bought for $1.8 million in January of 2019, was “only” 4,300 square feet on 1.4 acres of land.
The “contemporary ranch” home had just three bedrooms and four bathrooms, a pool, a hot tub, a 500 bottle wine room, a chef’s kitchen and a wet bar. It also has a family room with tall ceilings, an office, exercise room, rose garden and a screened porch.
Problem is, the master bedroom accounted for 1,250 square feet, or over 25 percent of the home’s living area.
Patrick and Brittany’s first home was actually a two-bedroom, three-bathroom condo in Kansas City.
It was only 1,800 square feet with two bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The couple paid $350,000 for the condo – $125,000 less than its original list price – and is now estimated to be worth around half a million dollars.
The New York Post reports that, at one point, Mahomes put it up for sale, but later withdrew the listing.
The condo, which is the only unit in the building to have a top roof deck and a two-car garage, also has granite countertops in the kitchen, California closets in the bedrooms, and wood-burning fireplaces in the living room and primary bedroom.
The couple’s new mansion in Missouri will go nicely with the four-bedroom, seven-bathroom 7,800 square foot mansion in Westlake, Texas that they bought for $3.37 million in March of 2020 – $890,000 less than the initial asking price.
That abode has views of the Vaquero golf course, a two-story entrance, a floating staircase, a game room, a wine room, a large balcony, a pool, a spa, a fire pit, and a private study with a spiral staircase that leads to a private loft.
The master bedroom suite has a spa bath with an infinity edge tub, a walk-through shower and a dressing area.
