The Patriots have fallen to 1-4 to start the season after yet another loss.

Last week Bill Belichick suffered the worst loss in his career, 38-3 to the Cowboys in Dallas, and now he lost his second biggest loss, 34-0 to the Saints which came at home.

With Belichick facing another playoff-less season, and the offense struggling, people are wondering what changes he’ll make to fix the team.

One of the possible changes is to bench quarterback Mac Jones for backup Bailey Zappe but a source close to Jones has a few things to say about that, according to FOX’s Henry McKenna.

Per the report: “No matter how good of cook you are, you cannot make garbage taste good,” the source said, “Even if it was not Mac at QB, what QB would want to play here under these conditions?”

Mac Jones hasn’t been the answer for the Patriots, with 5 turnovers in the past two games despite only playing parts of those because he was benched twice.

4 interceptions, two pick-6s, a fumble that was returned for a defensive touchdown, 0 touchdowns on offense and was outscored 72-3. Just awful.

The Patriots don’t have a ton of talent at wide receiver, which isn’t new, Tom Brady had to deal with it for most of his career under Belichick with the exception of a couple of seasons. But Mac Jones is no Tom Brady and he can’t overcome Belichick’s mismanagement of the roster.

Where do the Patriots go from here? only time will tell, but if he keeps losing by 30 points, Belichick might not stick around to find out after this season.
