Move over, Miami Hurricanes turnover chain.

During today’s B1G season opener against Indiana University, Penn State football introduced a new sideline tradition – the turnover card.

The Penn State turnover card is a thank you card held up on the Penn State sideline thanking the other team for the turnover.

How thoughtful.

How courteous.

It reads:

We appreciate your contributions to a brighter future for us and our program! Good looking out

What a nice touch.

Considering the amount of turnovers in the game on both sides of the ball (Indiana forcing three Penn State turnovers alone in the first half), Penn State’s turnover card is getting quite a bit of work.

Great in theory, but ultimately jinxing the Nittany Lions – Indiana’s defense has looked dominant well into the 4th quarter, as of this writing.

Regardless, the subtle jab is another reason why college football is the best.
