It’s been over 25 years since former Cincinnati Reds great Pete Rose has been banned from baseball for gambling on baseball games. While sentiment has grown over the years to let him into The Baseball Hall of Fame, the 74 year old Rose is unlikely to get reinstated into baseball by MLB’s new commissioner Rob Manfred any time soon.
Manfred did allow Rose to be honored at the MLB All-Star game in Cincinnati and when Rose was introduced he got a rousing ovation from the hometown crowd.
Here’s hoping that this the first step for to Rose to mend his relationship with the MLB and finally be able to get inducted into the Hall of Fame.
