The New England Patriots are being extremely protective of their star rookie QB this season.
During Monday night’s Manningcast, Peyton Manning revealed that he inquired about speaking with QB Mac Jones before his game against the Bills but was denied access by the Patriots PR department.
Peyton Manning says he called Mac Jones this week so he can prepare for tonight's telecast. Jones said he needs Peyton to get permission from PR before he talks.
Peyton called and they denied his request.

“I appreciate how they’re handling Mac Jones they are trying to protect him, give him as few off-the-field distractions as possible, let them concentrate on playing football, so yes I did get denied, it’s the first quarterback I haven’t talked to.”
Peyton went on to recount that the Colts did a similar thing for him when he was a rookie QB.
“Bill Polian as a rookie with me with the Colts did the same thing.”
