A Philadelphia police officer was sent to the hospital on Sunday night after bizarre accident outside of the NFC Divisional Round game between the Eagles and Los Angeles Rams. A video from the incident shows a driver trying to evade police outside of Lincoln Financial Field. The driver fails to do so and then puts their vehicle in reverse, speeding up and ramming into a police SUV.
Additional officers then rushed toward the vehicle and pulled the driver out, throwing them to the ground for placing them under arrest.

Local news station NBC 10 in Philadelphia reports that a “source told NBC10 police believe the suspect was driving under the influence of either alcohol or drugs at the time of the incident. Police have not yet revealed the suspect’s identity.”
The female officer who was struck by the vehicle was taken via ambulance to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Philadelphia Eagles Game Results In Parking Lot Chaos For Second Straight Week
This marks the second straight week with an incident in the parking lots at Lincoln Financial Field following an Eagles playoff game. After last week’s win over the Green Bay Packers, a pair of Philadelphia fans nearly got into a physical altercation while trying to exit the lots.
A video from the incident shows three fans arguing in the parking lot before trying to make their way home. One man involved accused another driver of running into his vehicle. The man who stood accused then denied the accusation, claiming that he was simply “going straight” while a third antagonist was then heard yelling “get him.”
Of course, this is Philadelphia, which means this could only ever end one way. The man who was accused of hitting the vehicle said simply, “that’s fine, Go Birds” before giving a thumbs up. The two men then went their separate ways.
Unfortunately for the officer involved in Sunday’s incident, things did not go quite as smoothly.
