Pirates Outfielder Disastrously Trips, Falls On His Face, And Misses Fly Ball To Lose To The Cubs In 12th Inning
It’s still very early in an evening loaded with sports, but we’ve found your unquestioned favorite to be the top of the Sportscenter ‘Not Top 10′ segment. A 12-inning thriller between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Chicago Cubs was decided on a disastrous error by Pirates’ outfielder Gregory Polanco, who slipped and fell on his face trying to track a routine fly ball. The Cubs had the bases loaded, so the winning run scored easily.
It’s going to be a long time before anyone lets him live that one down…ouch. That’s seriously an error for the ages.
