President Trump did not attend Thursday night’s Four Nations hockey game between USA and Canada but did take the time to call American players while they were still in the locker room.
An hour before the game, ESPN released a video of Trump’s call to Team USA players, where they wished them good luck ahead of their big game against Canada.
“You guys are really talented, I have great respect for hockey players, I’m a hockey fa. I love hockey. The talent and the skill that you have is crazy. And just go out and have a good time tonight. And I just wanna wish you a lot of luck. You really are a skilled group of people. It’s an honor to talk to you. And get out there, there’s no pressure whatsoever.
“Just go out and have a good time. You’re going to win. We love America, we love you guys, we’ll be watching tonight, bring it home”
