Even if you are a big golf fan, there is a good chance that you have never heard of Tiger Woods’ secret resort. Punta Brava Golf & Surf Club will be located just south of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico and it is going to be spectacular when complete.
The idea started in 2006 when former Charles Schwab executive Brian Tucker discovered a remarkable plot of land at the tip of the Punda Banda peninsula — which reaches seven miles out into the Pacific Ocean. He set out to develop a world-class golf course on the property.
The project was officially announced in October of 2008 and initially included Tiger Woods.
He did all of the original routing on the property.

Original animated renderings of the resort made it one of the most unique courses in the world. Every single hole has an ocean view. Every single hole has difficult rocky terrain surrounding the fairways.
The entire course is located on the peninsula.
Although Woods (and Beau Welling) laid out the blueprint for the course, Tom Doak later took over and did the design. He is currently in the process of shaping the holes after development initially fizzled out.
Where it was once an animated dream, the Punta Brava Golf & Surf Club is coming back alive. It is going to be even more beautiful than first imagined.

Assuming that the resort does eventually come to life, it will arguably be among the top-five most beautiful golf courses in the world. You might need about 50 balls to get through 18 holes, but it will be a remarkable experience.
