Streaker At Reds Game Does A Backflip In A Cop’s Face Before Getting Tased Into Oblivion

Anyone who decides to run onto the field at a sporting event does so knowing it’s probably going to end with them being taken away in handcuffs, so it’s important to take full advantage of your time on the turf.

I’d say a guy who did a backflip in the outfield at a Reds game on Tuesday managed to do exactly that, although he may regret pulling that move when you consider it made life much easier for the cop who tased him in the immediate wake of his acrobatic showcase.

There’s only so much stadiums can do to prevent spectators from making their way onto the playing surface, but every venue has a plan in place to deal with trespassers who end up in jail 99.9% of the time (a man at a Marlins game managed to defy the odds last year by sprinting onto the field before scaling the outfield wall and fleeing into the night, but successful escapes like that one are few and far between).

I’d be lying if I said I don’t enjoy videos where streakers are able to make the people pursuing them look absolutely foolish, but I definitely prefer instances where they see their escapades come to an abrupt end courtesy of a police officer or a security guard who took full advantage of their opportunity to put their training to the test.

One cop got the chance to do exactly that thanks to what transpired when the Cincinnati Reds hosted the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday night.

Prior to the start of the bottom of the ninth, we were treated to an Idiot On The Field who boldly pulled off a backflip as a police officer was closing in on him, and while he was able to evade the cop’s grasp, he was not able to do the same to the taser that was deployed to take him down

Good job, good effort.
