We have another controversial call in the NFL.
On third and one late in the fourth quarter and down only four points Cowboys offensive lineman Travis Frederick was called for a terrible tripping penalty by the refs that cost the team 10 yards at a crucial junction in the game.
This was called “tripping” on the Cowboys on 3rd and 1 with the game on the line #DALvsNE https://t.co/4raz37NtPI

What “tripping” looks like when you play in New England pic.twitter.com/cKmvRpcRWz

The Cowboys failed to convert on 4th and 11 on the following play and fans were angry at the refs for the phantom tripping call.
Imagine spending 3 hours watching a football game just for a ref to decide the game on 3rd & 1 with a "Tripping" callhttps://t.co/nHvpigd1SM

Hard to beat the Patriots and the refs

That’s an incomplete pass. And thus a phantom tripping call winds up deciding the most anticipated game of the year. That is an absolute joke. #Cowboys #Patriots

That tripping call belongs right up there with the phantom hands to the face call that went against the Lions in Green Bay on the list of horrible hallucinations by NFL officials this season.

Officiating in the NFL too often is downright incompetent…bad calls, phantom calls, just b.s. game after game sunday after sunday. Garbage. The tripping penalty negating a first-down pass is sheer incompetence…

That tripping call on Travis Frederick is all-time bad. Just a robbery. Dak was on a roll. Maybe another one of Belichick's sons somehow masqueraded as a ref. JUST MAKES ME SICK.
